Somnoware Healthcare Systems, a cloud-based software for sleep wellness and sleep disorder management, has expanded its management team with two new hires.

Jinesh Jain was appointed director of clinical technology, joining the company with more than 15 years of leadership in the healthcare clinical channel. John Robinson was appointed director of sales and marketing, bringing more than 10 years of experience in consulting and business development.

Prior to joining Somnoware, Jain worked for Cadwell Labs, where he acted as the project manager for the EEG and PSG product lines. Among his accomplishments he developed an FDA-cleared automated seizure detector for use in monitoring epilepsy patients. Early this year, Jain joined Somnoware to build an advanced data analytics platform for sleep. With a master’s degree in biomedical engineering, he has experience developing automated algorithms in imaging, neurology, and polysomnography. At Somnoware, Jain will focus on building a scalable platform for big data an alysis to identify clinical correlation between sleep disorders and comorbidities.

Before joining Somnoware, Robinson was with ResMed Corp, where he acted as a consultant to North American sales leadership teams. He brings a vast understanding of healthcare business operations. At ResMed, Robinson focused on driving growth in the patient supply replacement channel, and consulting the company’s largest customers to increase efficiencies and drive optimal patient outcomes. Robinson holds a masters of business administration in new venture management and supply chain operations and will focus on expanding Somnoware’s suite of products with the goals of helping customers drive value-based care and reduce the increasing costs many health systems are facing today.

Somnoware also announced a national contract for its software to be used at Kaiser Permanente.
