OSA University has launched an elite alumni program for dental sleep team members. Upon the completion of OSA University’s fundamental courses, dental team members are awarded their diplomas. OSA-U alumni status is also granted to the graduates and invitations are extended to join the private OSA-U alumni group.

Kelly Krey, alumni coordinator for OSA University, says in a release, “The alumni program allows team members to stay connected with us and others across the country in our OSA-U alumni community. Perks include opportunities to win weekly, monthly, and quarterly challenges and earn fun prizes.”

Another alumni opportunity is to become “team member of the year.” This winning team member will be awarded an all-expense paid weekend to OSA University’s 2015 annual symposium. The selection criteria include: following the OSA-U protocols, actively participating in spreading airway health and sleep apnea awareness, and increasing the sleep patient treatment acceptance rate for the office. Most importantly, this team member will have proven to be engaging and caring to their patients.

With all of the excitement around the prizes, challenges, and opportunities, the primary focus of the alumni program still remains on continuing dental sleep education. The goal of the program is to motivate team members to stay connected in the dental sleep medicine industry by keeping current with medical breakthroughs, procedures, communication strategies, and techniques regarding sleep apnea.

OSA-U alumni will also be able to connect with other dental sleep alumni team members in various practices. This is an ideal platform to share ideas, successes, and questions among peers to maximize the growth of the dental sleep medicine practice. A larger, national group presence is established as part of the fraternal benefit of being an OSA-U alumni.

OSA University is an online education platform dedicated to training dental sleep medicine team professionals. OSA-U courses are designed to optimize dental sleep medicine protocols and patient success. The OSA University program consists of eight courses with specific, individual course goals and objectives. The ease and convenience of the coursework accommodates different learning styles and provides an immediate education accessibility. Once it is completed, the team member achieves AGD CE credits, OSA-U accreditation, and an elite OSA-U alumni status.
