Elsevier has expanded its relationship with the American College of Chest Physicians (CHEST) to create eLearning solutions for CHEST’s interdisciplinary team in the specialties that reflect its membership, including pulmonary, critical care, and sleep medicine, among others. Currently, Elsevier is the publisher of the journal CHEST, the official publication of the American College of Chest Physicians.
“The powerful combination of CHEST’s expertise, as reflected in its membership, and Elsevier’s position as the leading provider of healthcare eLearning, ensures that clinicians from various disciplines will have access to valuable continuing education opportunities,” says Barbara Nelson Cullen, vice president, strategy and content development, Elsevier, in a release.
The Elsevier eLearning solutions offer content that is evidence-based and peer-reviewed in an interactive and engaging format. The Elsevier and CHEST collaboration will focus on specific disease states such as COPD and pulmonary arterial hypertension, along with related risk factors, treatment, complications, and patient education. The learning experience will be enhanced with branching case studies, videos, animations, and other interactive elements and will create an immersive learning environment.
