In light of the latest COVID-19 developments, the American Association of Sleep Technologists (AAST) has postponed the upcoming CCSH Workshop: Designated Education Program scheduled for this August in Chicago.

The workshop will now take place on July 31 through August 1, 2021 at the Marriott Chicago O’Hare and will cover a range of topics, including normal sleep and circadian rhythms, evaluations of sleep disorders, patient management, and clinical evaluations.

“This decision was made in the best interest of all involved, with the well-being of our members and attendees being top priority,” says a statement from the AAST.

The AAST CCSH Designated Education Program Recorded Modules are available online to allow those with their RPSGT who have recertified at least once to become eligible to earn their CCSH. The AAST’s online learning center also contains a variety of learning modules, delivered on-demand, which can fulfill continuing education credit (CEC) requirements.

“While we are disappointed that we cannot physically convene in Chicago as planned, AAST continues to support the sleep community with educational and informational resources,” the AAST announcement says.
